What the job involved

Timber-fronted overhead cupboards run the width of the room and finish in curved open shelves rather than a hard end, which keeps the corner from closing in on a narrow space. Underneath, a stone benchtop and matching splashback carry a stainless trough and gooseneck mixer, and the bench continues over the washing machine so the run reads as one line. Strip lighting is set under the overheads to light the bench rather than the floor.
