What the job involved

The island is the piece: a curved end in fluted panelling, carrying a stone benchtop whose edge follows the curve. Behind it the run is timber-fronted with slim bar handles, under a stone splashback that matches the benchtop. The overheads are handleless and run to the ceiling line, and the benchtop carries a pop-up power point so the stone stays uninterrupted.
